Our client is an international Insurance Group offering a diverse range of services across Life Insurance, Pension, Wealth Management and Asset Management. With increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place, the Group is now seeking a high-calibre Strategy professional to join the team in Hong Kong, covering Asia on Corporate Strategy & Transactions.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Develop corporate strategies and development plans (organic and inorganic) at regional, country and business unit level.
- Lead or support the group on strategic development plans on assessing and executing corporate transactions including M&A, strategic investments, partnerships, JV.
- Lead or execute strategic projects related to growth strategies, new markets entry, new and existing products development and entries.
- Take a proactive role in identifying and sourcing potential acquisition targets and partnership opportunities that align with the group’s strategic goals in the region.
- Conduct research on market trends, industry insights and competitive landscape, analyzing the impact on the business.
- Recommend strategic initiatives and articulate ideas into execution priorities and action plans.
- Work with business and support functions on operational efficiency and organizational change initiatives.
- Provide support on the implementation of projects and initiatives identified by the management team and business leaders.
- Perform analysis, financial modelling, valuations, project data gathering.
- Develop presentations for management, support in strategic planning deliverables and timelines for Management Committees and the Board in the Asia region.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- An university degree preferably with an MBA degree.
- Minimum 6 years of Corporate Strategy, Business Strategy, M&A, Strategic Consulting, Actuarial experience gained from Insurance, Banking, Wealth Management, Financial Services and / or Management Consultancies.
- Investment Banking / M&A and Equity Research experience covering FIG would also be considered.
- Actuarial Consulting experience focusing on M&A and valuations would also be considered
- Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously.
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel and other presentation tools.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English, an additional Asian language and / or Mandarin would be beneficial.
