Our client is an international Financial Services Group focusing on Life Insurance, Asset Management, Pension and Health Insurance. With increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place in Asia, the Group is now seeking a high-calibre Corporate Strategy Consulting professional to join the Global Strategy function covering the Asia region, based in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Senior member of the Global Strategy team covering Asia region designing and developing corporate strategies and development plans (both organic and inorganic) at regional level across all the businesses in Asia.
  • Lead strategy formulation and initiatives related to growth strategies, new markets entry, distribution strategy, new customer segment development, partnerships, new and existing products development and entries.
  • Take a proactive role in identifying and assessing growth opportunities, new customer segment or product segment with the group’s strategic goals in the various markets.
  • Recommend and build business case on strategic initiatives, articulate and translate ideas into execution priorities, action plans and transformation programmes.
  • Develop and define strategic projects / programmes scope, approach, plan and work streams and support on the delivery and implementation of projects and initiatives identified by the senior leadership team and business leaders.
  • Communicate market insights effectively to the management and business leaders by evaluating industry trends, conducting market research and benchmarking, analyzing the competitive landscape and the impact to the business.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to the management, support in strategic planning deliverables and timelines for management committees and leadership teams at Regional and Group level.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • A university degree preferably with an MBA or Master degree.
  • Around 12+ years experience in Corporate Strategy, Business Strategy, Strategy Consulting gained from Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Asset Management or Investment Management sectors.
  • Experience from top-tier Strategy Consulting firms coupled with in-house strategy or line / business roles would be highly preferred.
  • Asia markets experience is a MUST.
  • A track record in building, leading and delivering strategic initiatives and transformation programmes with proven ability to lead and run multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in conducting in-depth research, financial analysis and financial modelling.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English.
