Our client is well-established Banking Group with solid business performance across its Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Commercial & Corporate Banking. As part of strategic growth, an excellent opportunity in Financial Planning & Analysis focusing on Cost and Expense Accounting has been newly created to strengthen their function, based in Hong Kong.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Report to and support the Hong Kong Finance FP&A function, focusing on Cost and Expense Accounting.
- Create analytical tools and apply data visualization tools to track cost financials.
- Facilitate expense analysis and cost optimization by tracking and monitoring departmental expenses and cost allocations.
- Drive automation and integration of cost accounting, allocation, planning and reporting.
- Develop a data-driven system and analytics dashboard to facilitate management in decision making.
- Identify improvement areas and take a lead in implementing cost management governance.
- Provide advice and commentaries on the financial / cost analysis.
- Work with the wider Finance function on MIS reporting and monthly financial submissions.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- University degree ideally with CPA or CFA qualifications.
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, cost / expense accounting, budgeting, cost allocation and governance, IT & Operations expense.
- Relevant industry experience from Banking, Insurance, Asset Management or Financial Services.
- Experience in rolling out cost / expense accounting system would be highly advantageous.
- Familiarity to data analytics tools and visualization tools would be beneficial.
- Strong Finance partnering skills.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, Cantonese or Mandarin.
